Below are some of the very best Muskoka wedding venues (in my humble opinion!) Whether you’re planning to get married in the forest, at a vineyard, somewhere lakeside, or perhaps you’re looking to get married somewhere a little more intimate, I have just the venue for you.
The Muskoka’s are a very popular place to get married. Since it’s cottage country, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many weddings on private lakeside properties. However, there are lots of venues to choose from that are available to the public and can accommodate anywhere from a dozen to hundreds of wedding guests.
If you’ve visited the area before, you already know how special the Muskoka’s are. It’s close(ish) to the city, but it’s brimming with natural beauty. It is by far my favourite place to photograph weddings in Ontario. In no particular order, here are my very favourite Muskoka Wedding Venues:

1. Sherwood Inn
Sherwood Inn is located on Lake Joseph. They are the Muskoka’s preeminent traditional lakeside inn offering breathtaking surroundings, tasteful accommodations, fine dining, exceptional facilities, upscale amenities, and unparalleled service. This venue is open for weddings year-round.

2. Brooklands Farm
A dream wedding venue in Muskoka. Brooklands offers Large & Elopement packages. This is the place for you if you envision getting married somewhere with a stunning barn, outdoor tent, log cabin, & gorgeous farm backdrops.

3. Port Cunnington Lodge
Port Cunnington Lodge is the place where historic Muskoka charm meets understated luxury on the tranquil shores of Lake of Bays. It’s such a beautiful place to get married.

4. JW Marriott the Rosseau
The JW Marriott The Rosseau is an upscale Resort and Spa in the Muskoka’s. This is the perfect wedding venue for you if you’re planning a large wedding and you want a little bit of luxury while still being surrounded by nature and breathtaking views.

5. Rocky Crest Golf Resort
Perched along the rocky outcrops of the Canadian Shield, Rocky Crest Golf Resort is located on beautiful Lake Joseph in Muskoka. It boasts luxury suites, villas, cabins and cottages. Their food is also incredible.

6. Northbrook Farm
Northbrook Farm features sweeping lawns, fountains, walled gardens and an established woodland. This is a beautiful place to get married outside. This wedding venue can accommodate up to 150 guests, but still feels very intimate.

7. Northridge Inn
If you’re planning a smaller, more intimate wedding, this is the venue for you! Situated on the southernmost tip of Lake Bernard, the world’s largest fresh water lake without an island, Northridge Inn is renowned for our picturesque lakefront views. It is small enough to feel as if you are vacationing at a boutique hotel but large enough to offer all the amenities one expects to find at a large Muskoka Resort.

8. Windermere House
Known as the “The Lady of the Lake”, Windermere House – an iconic Victorian landmark – has proudly stood over Lake Rosseau since 1870, offering guests spectacular vistas and lasting memories. This place is charming and has so much character.
If you are planning a Muskoka Wedding, I’d love to be your photographer! Particularly if you are getting married at one of the best venues in the area. Please reach out to me here to find out if I’m available on your desired date.
